Il y a une vingtaine d’années, nous proposions les premiers appels à candidatures thématiques
afin de projeter des programmations de films d’artistes et des films courts de réalisateurs.
C’était le début du home vidéo, des premières caméras numériques à des prix abordables.
Dans les expositions, les films étaient présentés sur des écrans TV ou de petites projections.
C’étaient des narrations simples, des performances, des plans quasi fixes.
Ces sélections constituent un corpus d’une vingtaine de programmations thématiques
et de 250 films diffusés par la Brigade des Images en France et à l’étranger.

Pour fêter ces années d’images en mouvements, nous avons réactualisé ce premier thème : Love vidéo

About 20 years ago we made our first call for entries in search for artists' videos and short films.
It was the beginning of home videos and affordable video cameras. During exhibitions, these films were shown on a TV screen or in a screening. They were simple stories, filmed performances, still shots.
Now these films represent a body of 20 thematic programs and include about 250 films
screened by the Brigade des Images in France and abroad.

To celebrate these several years of moving images, we took up once again our original theme: Love Video

Une sélection musicale de groupes de rap des années 90 dont le son a été modifié aléatoirement.

A literary or a musical composition formed by selections from different authors disposed in a new order.
-The AI (reverse-engineered from the works of Robbie Barrat and Eric Groszman) was designed
to generate the lyrics and the music for the film. The visuals were edited by the human.
The result: man and machine creating a mathematically perfect ‘90s hip-hop music video.
